Before a Session: Relaxation Tips

Being relaxed will help the flow of energy and messages during your session. If you’re feeling over excited, anxious, or nervous, try these things to help calm yourself so you can get the most out of your time with me.

  • Hook-up.

    Rub your hands together for a few seconds and then shake them as if you have water on them and are flicking it off.

    Place your middle finger from one hand in the center of your forehead and the middle finger of your other hand in your belly button, then gently push upward.

    It could take a minute or even two to feel the effects of this. Most people new to energy work have never done this technique so it takes a little while for their system to reset. When you’re reset, you will feel a calm and most likely a physical sensation such as a slight jerk or tingling. If you don’t feel a physical sensation after about three minutes, repeat the process. If on the second time you’re not feeling a physical sensation, but are calmer, it’s worked and you probably just missed the physical aspect of the procedure.

  • Tapping

    Find the slight indentation in your collar bone on both sides and gently tap those spots simultaneously for about a minute. If you can’t locate the spots, use the palm of your hand to gently pat the location of them.

  • Breathing

    You can add breathing to either of the above techniques or do this alone. Take long deep breaths in for seven counts, hold for seven counts, and exhale for seven counts – completely emptying your lungs. Do this seven times.
